(Prea)dusă cu pluta am fost din totdeauna şi iată, alunecând uşor pe râul vieţii am tras la malul Dâmboviţei. Da, aici în fabulosul Bucureşti se afla „şcoala”, cam unicul motiv – pe atunci - pentru care sa-mi opresc puţin periplul.
Acum, după ceva timp de staţionare, îndrăznesc să-mi divulg câteva linii din jurnalul de bord.
Auzisem de termenul „iniţiatic” numai în liceu, la limba română, dar nu credeam ca voi ajunge sa-l trăiesc eu, doar aparţinea unor comentarii întortocheate şi înghiţite cu noduri de noi, sărmanii elevi. Bucureştiul a devenit iniţiatic pentru mine din câteva motive…
Aici am învăţat să aleg: între a fi om sau ne-om. Cum? Prin deprinderea virtuţilor – să ai răbdare când mijlocul de transport în care te afli rămâne blocat în trafic iar tu trebuie să ajungi neapărat la ore sau atunci când în acelaşi loc densitatea oamenilor pe metru pătrat devine aşa mare încât tu eşti forţat să treci pe respiraţie anaerobă.
Aici am învăţat să apreciez frumosul. Oriunde m-am dus în acest oraş am avut ales: am văzut norii şi luna, nu turnurile de răcire ale unei termocentrale;

am văzut lalele vesele ce prevesteau primăvara, nu traficul dirijat (din păcate „dirijorii” noştri nu prea reuşesc să coordoneze bine orchestra);

am văzut case de o frumuseţe veşnică, nu blocurile comuniste care stau să le-nghită. Aici am învăţat să preţuiesc tăcerea.

Da, în Bucureşti am descoperit că de multe ori cuvintele sunt de prisos - un simplu gest îţi spune mai multe. Am văzut mulţi bătrâni, care nu mai cer, nu mai întind mâna, ei tac, tocmai prin acest lucru împărtăşindu-ţi durerea vieţii lor poate, poate îi vei putea ajuta cumva.

Aici minunile le văd cel mai bine – din mozaicul de oameni am întâlnit tocmai pe aceia care mi-au schimbat viaţa în cel mai frumos mod posibil.
Mult praf, mult zgomot, multă aglomeraţie – mă încurcă? Nu, prin ele văd mai bine ce contează, mă ajut de ele pentru a aprecia valoarea.
Iubesc Bucureştiul pentru că aici m-a găsit El.
